Turkish Defense Industry at IDEX 2025: Innovations and Insights
**The Turkish Defense Industry is gearing up for a significant showcase at the IDEX & NAVDEX 2025 International Defense Exhibition and Conference, scheduled to take place in Abu Dhabi from February 17 to 21, 2025.** Organized by the Presidency of the Republic of Turkey and the Presidency of Defense Industries, the event promises to be a major gathering, attracting official delegations and defense manufacturers from across the globe, particularly from the Gulf region. With a remarkable participation of 90 Turkish defense firms, this exhibition stands as the most prominent defense event in the Middle East, supported by the Presidency of Defense Industries (SSB) and the Defense and Aerospace Industry Exporters Association (SSI).
Prof. Dr. Haluk Görgün, the President of the Defense Industries, highlighted the importance of the event, stating, “As a stabilizing power, the Turkish Defense Industry has become one of the most important brands in the world, developing day by day.” He elaborated that each participating company is reinforcing its status among global leaders through innovative products and significant contracts.
The exhibition will not only showcase major integrator firms but will also provide a platform for 20 small and medium-sized enterprises, emphasizing innovation and technological advancement. Görgün mentioned, “We will participate in numerous bilateral and multilateral meetings, attend signing ceremonies, and host significant delegations from around the world.” He views this exhibition as a vital opportunity to demonstrate the technological progress of the Turkish defense sector and aims to enhance strategic collaborations in the region.
At the recent ADEX 2024 Exhibition, National Defense Minister Yaşar GÜLER and Force Commanders visited the MKE booth, underscoring the government’s support for the defense industry. IDEX 2025 will feature an array of advanced unmanned ground and aerial vehicles, armored platforms, weapon systems, maritime technology, electronic systems, munitions, and logistics support products, showcasing the cutting-edge capabilities of Turkish defense manufacturers.
MKE, a key player in the Turkish defense landscape, will prominently display its production capabilities, with significant highlights from ASSAN Group. This comprehensive presentation aims to inform participants about the industry’s advanced technological prowess and explore potential cooperation opportunities.
