Turkish Defense Exports Surge in 2025
**Turkish Defense Industries Secretary Haluk Görgün has announced a significant increase in Türkiye’s defense exports for June and the first half of 2025, sharing the details through a Twitter post.** According to Görgün, exports rose impressively by 25% in the first half of the year, reaching a total of $3.603 billion. In June alone, exports amounted to $623 million, marking a year-on-year growth of 10.4% for that month.
In addition to these strong figures, Görgün highlighted that total exports over the past year reached $7.454 billion, reflecting a 23.1% increase. He emphasized that these numbers represent more than just statistics; they signify a development strategy intentionally designed for long-term growth and sustainability. The Turkish government is actively expanding its export capabilities and diversifying its product offerings to include more advanced technologies.
Strategic Goals and Industry Growth
As part of the Presidency of Defense Industries’ export strategy, Görgün noted, there is a strong commitment to increasing the number of exporting companies across Türkiye while promoting high-tech products.
