Turkey has enhanced the reconnaissance capabilities of its land forces with the induction of the PARS İZCİ 6×6 and 8×8 Special Purpose Tactical Wheeled Armored Vehicles—dubbed the “eyes of mechanized infantry.”
According to a Ministry of National Defense briefing, multiple sensor, radar, and command vehicles have recently entered the inventory of the Turkish Land Forces, marking the first official delivery of the PARS İZCİ 6×6 and 8×8 platforms.
Developed by Turkish defense manufacturer FNSS under the Special Purpose Tactical Wheeled Armored Vehicles (ÖMTTZA) Project, the vehicles were tailored with mission-specific payloads and configurations in line with army requirements. To date, five variants have been produced—four of them designed as reconnaissance elements for specialized units.
The vehicles are expected to serve as a major force multiplier, enabling faster and higher-quality reconnaissance with integrated command-and-control systems at the core of their operations.

Built for reconnaissance and internal security operations
The PARS İZCİ family has been specially designed for reconnaissance and internal security missions. Offering exceptional situational awareness, the 6×6 and 8×8 variants provide significant tactical advantages and maintain high mobility across diverse terrain.
Equipped with advanced ballistic and mine protection, the vehicles achieve protection levels comparable to dedicated mine-resistant personnel carriers, while still delivering the versatility expected from modern armored combat vehicles. Thanks to their modular armor design, protection levels can be adjusted according to mission requirements.
Engineered for both low- and high-intensity conflict environments, the PARS İZCİ platforms combine high local production content with cutting-edge technology. Their adaptability, survivability, and operational flexibility position them as a strategic asset for Turkey’s land forces, enhancing both conventional and asymmetric warfare capabilities.
