Furthermore, a note exchange concerning strategic cooperation in communication systems was executed between Görgün and Raja Nushirwan Zainal Abidin, the Director-General of the Malaysian National Security Council.

Additionally, a memorandum targeting smart city solutions, traffic management, and security systems was signed between Turkey’s Defense Industry Presidency and Selangor Aerospace and Technology Innovation Sdn Bhd. This agreement was finalized with the Chief Minister of Selangor State, Amirudin Bin Shari, further highlighting the multifaceted nature of the collaboration.

Broader Collaboration Initiatives

In conjunction with these agreements, the DEIK Malaysia-Turkey Business Forum also saw the signing of several other notable collaborations. These included agreements between ASELSAN and Sapura for communication technology, a modernization deal for marine platforms involving ASELSAN-Havelsan and LUNAS Shipyard, and partnerships in artificial intelligence between Havelsan and MIMOS-Techinsight.

These initiatives reflect not only Turkey and Malaysia’s commitment to defense but also their strategic aim to innovate and modernize military capabilities through shared technological advancements.
