SSB President Haluk Görgün shared the development on X, emphasizing Turkey’s commitment to strengthening defense industry partnerships with allies and sharing domestically developed technologies with friendly nations.

“We are proud to witness yet another historic milestone in the defense industry today,” Görgün remarked. “This MoU, signed with Spain, one of our longstanding NATO allies, marks the foundation of our collaboration on the Jet Training Aircraft Project.”

A Symbol of Strategic Cooperation

Görgün highlighted that the agreement not only reflects Turkey’s ambition to develop independent defense technologies but also showcases its dedication to fostering robust partnerships with allied nations.

“This success is a testament to the hard work and vision of our teams. I extend heartfelt congratulations to all SSB units, the talented TUSAŞ team, our esteemed ambassador in Madrid, and our military attaché who represented our nation during the ceremony,” Görgün said.

Strengthening Turkey’s Defense Industry

He further underlined Turkey’s commitment to consolidating its global position in the defense sector under visionary leadership. “Turkey will continue to enhance its strength in the defense industry on a global scale. I wish this agreement to be beneficial for both nations,” Görgün concluded.

This agreement is expected to serve as a cornerstone for future collaborations between Turkey and Spain, further solidifying their bond as NATO allies and defense partners.
