Roketsan, one of Türkiye’s leading defense industry companies, is set to showcase its latest advancements in ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, and air defense systems during the 17th International Defense Industry Fair (IDEF 2025), to be held from July 22 to 27.
Speaking at a press briefing hosted by the Presidency of Defense Industries, Roketsan CEO Murat İkinci emphasized the strategic significance of the event, describing IDEF as a platform where Türkiye’s defense capabilities are shared with international stakeholders. He noted that current regional conflicts and geopolitical tensions have pushed certain technologies, particularly missile systems, to the forefront of defense priorities.
According to İkinci, Roketsan aims to position IDEF not merely as an industry showcase but as a trend-setting event in the global defense sector. He stated that the company will place a strong emphasis on ballistic missile systems, cruise missile platforms, air defense systems, and air-to-air missile technologies, with each category featuring prominently in their exhibit.
Roketsan is preparing to unveil six new products at the fair. İkinci highlighted that these systems feature advanced technologies that set them apart from their global counterparts, both in capability and innovation. While technical specifications have not been fully disclosed, these new products are expected to significantly enhance Roketsan’s product portfolio and its competitiveness in the international market.
On the export front, İkinci underlined Roketsan’s rapid growth trajectory and reaffirmed the company’s commitment to collaborative development with friendly and allied nations. “Our primary growth strategy is to move forward in close cooperation with our partners. We aim for mutual progress and shared success,” he said.
İkinci also expressed the company’s ambition to build upon its global achievements in UAV munitions by expanding similar capabilities across other strategic weapon systems. New agreements expected to be signed at IDEF 2025 are set to play a key role in converting this potential into tangible export performance and industrial impact.
He concluded by expressing confidence that IDEF 2025 will leave a strong international impression and contribute to setting new benchmarks for the global defense industry.
