President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, following his return from Italy, expressed optimism regarding the potential conclusion of PKK terrorism in Turkey. He emphasized the ongoing efforts of the National Intelligence Organization (MİT) in resolving the issue.

“Our intelligence organization is continuing its work on this matter,” President Erdoğan stated. “As you know, the National Intelligence Organization Presidency is conducting this operation, and Mr. Ibrahim Kalın is leading these efforts. Our goal is to completely eradicate the scourge of terrorism that seeks to undermine Turkey’s unity, integrity, and brotherhood, and to move forward into the future.”

President Erdoğan highlighted the significant strides made in combating terrorism and promoting democratization. “We have achieved remarkable successes in the fight against terrorism. We have taken the most advanced steps in democratization,” he asserted. He also emphasized the strong and resolute will of the People’s Alliance (Cumhur İttifakı) to completely eliminate terrorism and usher in a new era.

He urged the terrorist organization to recognize the futility of their actions and to respond positively to calls for disarmament. “The terrorist organization must understand that they have reached a dead end and heed the calls made to them,” he said. He emphasized that the primary motivation behind these efforts is to create a terrorism-free Turkey for future generations.

“We are working for a Turkey where civil politics is strengthened, peace is established, and our resources are allocated to the future, technology, and development,” President Erdoğan affirmed. He stressed that there is no place for division in Turkey, and the unity of the Turkish nation will be evident to all.

Reiterating his previous stance, President Erdoğan clarified, “A Turkey without terrorism is not a give-and-take process, but an atmosphere of brotherhood. It is the decades-long aspiration of our nation.”
