MKE at LAAD 2025: Showcasing Defense Innovations

**The Mechanical and Chemical Industry Corporation (MKE) is poised to captivate audiences at LAAD 2025, South America’s premier defense exhibition. Scheduled for April 1-4, 2025, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, this event offers MKE a platform to display its diverse portfolio, which includes advanced weaponry, ammunition systems, and protective gear. Highlighting Key Products

MKE is set to generate significant interest with its array of lightweight and medium-caliber ammunition, which spans from 7.62mm to 35mm. Additionally, various mortar rounds and the MK series aerial bombs will be prominently featured, appealing to military representatives and civil authorities alike. Notably, MKE will showcase its MP-5 series automatic pistols and infantry rifles, alongside CBRN protective masks, underscoring its comprehensive approach to security solutions.

The expectation is that these products will not only attract attention but also foster conversations about future procurement and collaboration. MKE’s strategic focus on the regional and global arms markets indicates a dedication to expanding its footprint and potential partnerships.

Strategic Cooperation with ATS Group

In a significant development outside of the upcoming fair, MKE has entered into a strategic cooperation agreement with ATS Group, a leading defense manufacturer from North Macedonia. This partnership is set to include technology transfer initiatives, production facility modernization, and collaborative investment projects. An ambitious plan to construct a new gunpowder factory in North Macedonia is expected to further bolster defense cooperation between Turkey and North Macedonia, enhancing local production capabilities.

The agreement was formalized at a signing ceremony attended by high-level officials from both nations. Musa Heybet, Turkey’s Deputy Minister of National Defense, and Ilhami Keleş, General Manager of MKE, represented Turkey, while North Macedonia was represented by Foreign Affairs Minister Timco Mucunski and Defense Minister Vlado Misajlovski. Both parties believe that this partnership will lead to sustainable, long-term benefits for the defense industries of both countries.

Commitment to International Collaboration

MKE’s focus on international collaboration was emphasized in a statement where they confirmed their intent to further develop strategic partnerships with allied countries. This approach aims not only to boost export capacities but also to reinforce mutual defense agreements and industry standards.

As MKE prepares for LAAD 2025, it is simultaneously gearing up for its participation in IDEX 2025, where it will showcase its ongoing production capabilities and commitment to supporting global defense initiatives. This reflects MKE’s strategy of maintaining a dynamic presence in major international defense exhibitions to advocate for Turkey’s robust defense sector.
