In a related report from Army Recognition, it was revealed that the Iranian Army has also received a modernized version of the U.S.-made M60 tank, referred to as the Soleiman-402. The Soleiman-402 features enhancements such as an improved fire control system, a conventional cannon, and a sophisticated two-degree-of-freedom platform to optimize firepower. Notable modifications include a commandable turret, storage boxes, reactive armor, and a comprehensive array of detection and protection systems.

Advanced Features for Enhanced Combat Operations

The modernized M60 tank is engineered for improved maneuverability in both day and night operations. Among its advanced features are a power supply engine, an upgraded driver display panel, and a heating system, all designed to enhance operational efficiency.

The delivery ceremony for the Soleiman-402 also spotlighted accompanying training aircraft intended for unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) interception tasks, further enhancing Iran’s aerial defense capabilities.
