**The Improved Armored Personnel Carrier (GAPC) vehicles continue to strengthen the Turkish Armed Forces’ capabilities as they are welcomed into the inventory of the Land Forces Command. Technological Enhancements Strengthening Capabilities

The integration of the remotely controlled SARP weapon system, developed by ASELSAN, is expected to significantly boost the operational flexibility of these vehicles, providing crews with an effective means to deal with threats from a safe distance. This state-of-the-art weapon system ensures greater safety for occupants while increasing the overall combat readiness of the armored vehicle.
In addition to the SARP system, the modernization program is incorporating a variety of advanced technologies designed to bolster the survivability and operational efficiency of the GAPCs. Key features include next-generation electronics such as an advanced fire detection system, sophisticated navigation equipment, and blast mitigation technologies. These enhancements are critically important, as they enable the vehicles to excel in both urban settings and rugged terrains. He explained that proficiency in amphibious operations greatly influences the effectiveness of these vehicles, stating, “Comparisons among armored vehicles from various manufacturers are frequent, and from FNSS’s viewpoint, competition is indeed pertinent based on operational capabilities.”
Altınışık further elaborated on challenges faced by amphibious armored vehicles during operations, particularly concerning their ability to transition effectively between land and water. He stressed the critical need for operational readiness and coordination with engineering units to ensure successful missions. Addressing the terrain adaptability of these vehicles, he remarked that proper reconnaissance about the landing surfaces significantly affects operational success. He concluded that while wheeled armored vehicles may fall short in difficult terrains, tracked vehicles possess superior mobility, underscoring their importance in diverse operational settings.
FNSS Ownership Transition to Nurol Holding
In other relevant developments, FNSS is undergoing a significant corporate transition as all its shares are being transferred to Nurol Holding.
