“Fidan Warns: Europe Must Do More to Combat Racism”

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan met today with Secretary General of the Council of Europe, Alain Berset, in Ankara to discuss key areas of cooperation between Turkey and the Council.

According to diplomatic sources, Minister Fidan underlined Turkey’s commitment to its long-standing partnership with the Council of Europe, of which it is a founding member. He expressed appreciation for Secretary General Berset’s inclusive and consensus-driven approach since taking office and voiced support for his recent initiatives aimed at strengthening dialogue within the organization.
