Istanbul, July 23, 2025 —
Turkish defense giant ASELSAN has introduced five cutting-edge indigenous systems at the 17th International Defense Industry Fair (IDEF 2025), reinforcing its role as a major player in modern warfare technology.

In a high-profile event dubbed “Game-Changing Warfare Systems,” ASELSAN unveiled for the first time: GÖKTAN, EJDERHA, KORAL 200, TURAN, and the GÜRZ Air Defense System. These advanced systems are expected to serve as force multipliers across various domains of the battlefield.

ASELSAN CEO Ahmet Akyol emphasized that all five systems are 100% domestically developed and nationally produced, underscoring Turkey’s growing self-sufficiency in defense technology.

GÖKTAN: Precision Strike Capability Redefined

Part of ASELSAN’s Ground-Based Precision Strike Systems, GÖKTAN enables highly accurate 360-degree engagements at extended ranges. Integrated with the TOLUN munition, it allows for six-round launches with exceptional resistance to GNSS jamming and even reverse-direction targeting — a first in its class.

KORAL 200: Dominating the Electromagnetic Spectrum

The KORAL 200 electronic warfare system is designed to neutralize enemy air defense networks, clearing the way for safe and effective air operations. Representing the peak of Türkiye’s EW capabilities, KORAL 200 delivers strategic superiority by suppressing threat signals and gaining air dominance during offensive operations.

EJDERHA: Next-Gen Anti-Drone Defense

EJDERHA, ASELSAN’s new anti-drone system, neutralizes mini and micro UAVs using high-powered microwaves. With rapid deployment and high mobility, EJDERHA offers reliable protection against the growing threat of drone swarms on the modern battlefield.

TURAN: Tactical Communications Without Interruption

TURAN is a next-generation battlefield communications system designed for seamless IP-based connectivity on the move. It integrates long-range, high-speed data transmission with advanced encryption to provide uninterrupted coordination and communication for field units.

GÜRZ: Autonomous Air Defense for the “Blue Homeland”

The GÜRZ Unmanned Air Defense System combines remote-control capabilities with onboard artificial intelligence. Armed with short-range missiles, GÜRZ can engage fixed- and rotary-wing aircraft, air-to-ground missiles, and Class II UAVs within an 8-kilometer radius. It operates autonomously or via a distant command center, offering critical air defense coverage in dynamic environments.
