Türkiye’s leading defense company ASELSAN is set to showcase nine brand-new next-generation technologies for the first time at the 17th International Defense Industry Fair (IDEF 2025), which will take place in Istanbul.
As part of its participation in IDEF 2025, ASELSAN plans to hold over 20 signing ceremonies with national and international partners, reinforcing its export-oriented growth strategy. The company will also display more than 300 products and systems across its wide range of operational domains.
ASELSAN CEO Ahmet Akyol highlighted the strategic importance of IDEF 2025, noting that the fair offers significant opportunities both for the company and for Türkiye’s defense sector.
“We will be presenting nine next-generation technologies we have developed in the fields of radar, electronic warfare, electro-optics, air defense, and communications,” Akyol said. “Through over 20 signature ceremonies, we aim to sign new agreements that will support export-driven growth for both our company and our country. Visitors will also have the chance to explore more than 300 of our products across all fields of operation.”
Steel Dome Air Defense System to Be Fully Displayed
One of the key highlights of ASELSAN’s outdoor exhibit will be Türkiye’s multi-layered air defense system, Steel Dome. The system, according to Akyol, represents “the iron will of the state.”
“All components of the Steel Dome Air Defense System will be presented together in the open-air area of the exhibition,” he stated. “With this system, which reflects the state’s unwavering will, we are making Türkiye’s airspace more secure—step by step.”
In the indoor exhibition area, ASELSAN will also showcase its capabilities in various domains, including communications, naval systems, border security, tank modernization, command and control, tactical communications, urban security, and space systems.
