ASELSAN Air Defense Radar Systems Contract Signed

**ASELSAN has officially signed a significant contract with the Presidency of Defense Industries to procure advanced air defense radar systems.** This deal marks another milestone for ASELSAN, one of Turkey’s foremost defense companies, as it continues to expand its portfolio in the defense sector. The contract outlines that deliveries of these radar systems will occur between 2026 and 2031, ensuring that Turkey enhances its air defense capabilities in the coming years.

The total value of the contract amounts to approximately 170.9 million USD and 1.95 billion TL. ASELSAN announced this development on its official X account, highlighting its commitment to bolstering national defense initiatives. Recent Export Contracts

In addition to the radar systems contract, ASELSAN has also secured an export deal for land weapon systems with a customer located in the European Union. The company disclosed this agreement on its official X account, revealing that the total value of the export contract is 50.8 million Euros. This move underscores ASELSAN’s growing international presence and its ability to meet the defense needs of allied nations.

ASELSAN’s New Production Facility

ASELSAN has recently inaugurated a state-of-the-art production facility dedicated to FLIR (Forward Looking Infrared) technology, backed by a substantial investment of $40 million. This facility is designed to cater to the rising demand for thermal imaging and sensor technologies, reflecting ASELSAN’s commitment to advancing high-precision defense technologies. The facility will produce a variety of advanced optical systems, including thermal cameras and night vision devices, which are essential for military operations.

In the realm of critical technologies, ASELSAN’s new facility will manufacture sophisticated sensors like the TOYGUN Integrated Electro-Optical Sensor System for the National Combat Aircraft KAAN, as well as for both manned and unmanned combat aircraft. Furthermore, ASELSAN aims to produce high-performance electro-optical systems such as the CATS Electro-Optical System, already in active use in TB2 drones, and the ASELFLIR-500, which is set for mass production.
