**CANiK, a frontrunner in the Turkish defense industry, has secured a spot among the top 10 defense industry exporters in Turkey for 2024. The Defense and Aerospace Industry Exporters Union (SSI), which comprises over 1,700 members focused on enhancing the export capacity of the Turkish defense and aerospace sectors, recognized firms with outstanding export performances this year. As the leading brand under the Samsun Yurt Savunma (SYS) Group, CANiK has distinguished itself with its impressive export results in 2024.**

In the past year, CANiK achieved the remarkable feat of ranking 10th among the country’s defense and aerospace industry exporters. According to the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TIM), CANiK recorded exports worth 136 million dollars in 2023, which surged by 27% to reach 172 million dollars in 2024. This growth reflects both product sales and record-setting export achievements. With such robust export figures, CANiK has reinforced its leadership role within the defense sector.

Looking ahead, the SYS Group is poised to further enhance its turnover and export performance in 2025, bolstered by its operations in the USA and the UK. The group aims to ramp up its production capabilities, targeting an annual output of 460,000 pistols, 5,000 anti-aircraft systems, 250 medium-caliber cannons, and 250 fire control systems by 2025. Notably, CANiK exports 97.5% of its production to 70 countries, earning recognition as a preferred supplier of ‘state weapons’ in government tenders across more than 20 nations.

CANiK continues to innovate by offering a variety of solutions, from uniquely designed domestic pistols to national anti-aircraft systems, thereby strengthening its foothold in both domestic and international markets. General Manager Utku Aral emphasized the company’s commitment to sustaining its export success, stating that the increase in exports from 136 million dollars in 2023 to 172 million dollars in 2024 is a testament to their solid position in the sector.

Aral highlighted that the company’s growth is fueled by its investments in technology, innovation-driven production, and strategic brand positioning in global markets. With aspirations to further elevate the Turkish defense industry’s global footprint, CANiK is determined to explore new markets and bolster its contributions to the country’s export figures.

In summary, Turkey stands as the world’s eleventh largest defense industry exporter, showcasing the significance of companies like CANiK in enhancing the nation’s standing in the global defense landscape.
